President & Chief Operating Officer

Kevin co-founded Booth-Laird Enterprises in 2007 and serves as the company’s president and chief operating officer. He is primarily responsible for managing partner relations, overseeing Booth-Laird’s internal processes, and managing the daily operations. Jonathan and Kevin collectively analyze and decide on all potential business opportunities and investments.

Kevin worked for over four years as an auditor with KPMG, LLP, one of the four largest accounting firms in the world, where he was rated “exceptional performer.” During his time with KPMG, he was regularly entrusted to lead engagement teams on audits of both public and private companies in a variety of industries, including a Fortune 500 company. He quickly earned a reputation as an efficient, reliable team leader and an effective problem solver. As a result of his experience, he has developed an astute understanding of risk management, team management, optimal business processes, effective corporate governance practices, and various industries and business models.

In 2012, Kevin was selected for the AICPA Leadership Academy as one of only 36 members from across the nation.  Kevin was the only member selected from Louisiana.

While with KPMG, Kevin was selected by firm management to serve on the KPMG South Louisiana Audit Staff Council, where he helped resolve issues and helped craft and implement best practices.

Prior to working for KPMG, Kevin worked as a consultant preparing financial statements and tax returns and performing bookkeeping for individuals and businesses at a local accounting firm for two years. This experience afforded him the opportunity to develop a keen understanding of small business and private venture opportunities, participants, risks, and value.

Kevin earned a bachelor’s of science in accounting from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University.  He is a member of the AICPA and the Society of Louisiana CPA’s.
